EVTN Exhibits Voraxial at World’s Largest Offshore Oil Technology Event

SOURCE: Enviro Voraxial Technology

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL–(Marketwired – May 02, 2013) – Enviro VoraxialTechnology, Inc. (OTCBB: EVTN) announced today that the Company will demonstrate its Voraxial®Oil/Water Separator at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC 2013) in Houston, Texas May 5th-May 9th, in Booth 5620. OTC 2013 is the world’s foremost event for the development of offshore energy resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production and environmental protection. EVTN will also showcase its line of Voraxial® Separators, including the Voraxial® 4000 which processes over 17,000 barrels per day and the Voraxial 8000, for much larger applications, which can process over 100,000 barrels per day.

The Voraxial®Separator fills a void in a large segment of the separation market, specifically, in areas of high flow, limited space and limited fluid pressure. This allows operators to reduce the cost, time and space required to treat its fluid streams. These are critical factors on oil platforms, which represent some of the most expensive real estate on earth. Further, operators can experience cost savings through decreased expenses of acquiring, installing, operating and maintaining the equipment. The unique design of the Voraxial® enables it to provide effective separation during fluctuations in flow rate and inlet oil or sand concentrations without any modifications. Further, and as critical, the Voraxial® is the only high volume separator that can do this without a pressure drop. These features increase the ease of operation.

EVTN’s Voraxial®Separator technology offers oil industry customers market leading efficiencies for many critical high volume, bulk separation applications including the processing of produced water, deck water, frac water and marine oil spill remediation. These applications, which represent a multi-billion dollar market, are essential to the efficient production of oil and gas and the protection of the environment. In applications suitable to the Voraxial’s®ability to separate mixed components of fluid streams into separate outputs (example: oil, water and sand), competitive equipment may require 10 or more times the equipment space and weight of the Voraxial®to process the same volume of fluid.

The four day OTC event provides EVTN an opportunity to meet with new and existing customers and service organizations from major international oil and gas industry companies. At the exhibit customers will be able to observe EVTN’s patented Voraxial®separating oil from water by creating a unique, powerful vortex.

For more information, visit www.otcnet.org.

About Enviro Voraxial Technology: EVTN is the developer and manufacturer of the Voraxial® Separator, a unique, patented in-line turbo-separator that provides a cost effective method to efficiently separate large volumes of solids and liquids with different specific gravities and without the need of a pressure drop. The Voraxial® provides highly efficient bulk separation while requiring less space, energy and weight than conventional separators processing the same volume. The Voraxial® is capable of simultaneously separating up to three components, such as oil, water and sand. The Voraxial® can be used as a stand-alone separator or incorporated with other equipment to provide a complete turnkey solution that allows customers to treat a variety of fluid streams while reducing treatment cost and increasing separation efficiency.

The separation market encompasses a series of multibillion dollar segments, spread globally across many industries and applications. EVTN continues to pursue the oil & gas industry but is also processing proposals from other industries such as mining, food processing, manufacturing and oil spill industries. EVTN owns significant IP surrounding the Voraxial® and has new innovations under development. Please see www.evtn.com for additional information.

ITS America’s 2013 Annual Meeting Declared a Major Success, Event Previews Global ITS World Congress to be held in Detroit from September 7-11, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn.–()–The Intelligent Transportation Society of America’s (ITS America) 23rd
Annual Meeting & Exposition concluded today in Nashville, Tenn., with
all parties declaring it a major success. The event brought together
nearly 2,000 of the nation’s top transportation officials, business and
technology leaders, researchers and policymakers.

“We expect the Leadership
Circle to play a key role in influencing the national debate around how
to use technology to address our nation’s transportation challenges.”

Scott Belcher, President and CEO of ITS America, called the meeting one
of the best ever. “This year’s meeting fostered an incredible exchange
of ideas and solutions with levels of collaboration between private
sector and government that are rarely seen,” he said.

During the four-day event, transportation and technology leaders
explored solutions for easing traffic congestion, financing and
improving the nation’s transportation system, advancing life-saving
vehicle technologies, and much more through exhibits, panel discussions,
technology demonstrations, technical tours, training sessions and
networking events.

The event showcased innovative technologies and solutions being
developed and implemented across the U.S. including connected vehicles,
adaptive traffic signals, advanced traffic and incident management
systems, electronic tolling and pricing systems, freight management
systems, smart mobility apps, and real-time traffic, transit, navigation
and parking information.

This year’s Annual Meeting featured more public sector participation
than ever before, including nearly 20 state DOT CEOs and hundreds of
federal, state and local officials from across the country. As
governments at all levels are being asked to do more with less,
transportation leaders are increasingly turning to intelligent
transportation systems (ITS) to make the nation’s roads, public transit
systems and freight network more efficient and cost-effective, while
providing commuters and highway users with more convenient, innovative
travel options.

As has become a tradition at ITS America meetings, the gathering

  • Tom Taylor – Vice President of Advanced Strategies, Hughes Telematics
    (A Verizon Co.)
  • Dennis Beal – Vice President of Global Vehicles, FedEx Express
  • John Schroer – Commissioner, Tennessee Department of Transportation
  • Brad Dennard – National ITS Director, Atkins

The Annual Meeting also marks the first official gathering of the ITS
America Leadership Circle. The Leadership Circle is an important new
initiative with two main goals: to raise the level and creativity of the
intelligent transportation conversation and to unify the industry’s
political and business influence. “As our industry grows, it’s important
to foster disruptive conversation in order to generate space for
innovation to develop,” said Scott Belcher. “We expect the Leadership
Circle to play a key role in influencing the national debate around how
to use technology to address our nation’s transportation challenges.”

In September 2014, ITS America will host the global World Congress on
Intelligent Transport Systems to be held in the home of America’s auto

Deputy Minister opens Atlantic Forum event

The event, which is fourth in a series of five events, one in each of the EU ‘Atlantic Member States’ looked to contribute to the development of the EU Maritime Strategy for the Atlantic Ocean Area.

The EU ‘Atlantic Strategy’ aims to help create sustainable jobs and growth in the Atlantic area.  It focuses on five challenges and opportunities, implementing the ecosystem approach, reducing Europe’s carbon footprint, sustainable exploitation of the Atlantic seafloor’s natural resources, responding to threats and emergencies and socially inclusive growth.

Speaking at the event Mr Davies said

“Wales is proud to be a nation within Europe. We have a strong tradition of supporting many EU initiatives, and have been able to benefit from many funding programmes and trading opportunities over the years, bringing home to many communities, businesses and individuals the tangible benefits of the EU.”

The Deputy Minister took the opportunity to explain why the European Commission’s work in developing Integrated Maritime policy initiatives will encourage public authorities at all levels to think about marine and maritime issues in a more co-ordinated fashion.

Mr Davies emphasised that the aim must be to ensure the best sustainable economic use of the seas and coasts.

He said:

“The Commission’s recent work on coastal economic growth and jobs, known as “Blue Growth”, offers some useful pointers to this. It identifies the importance of the various existing and developing sectors, from coastal tourism and fisheries, through to marine renewable energy. The challenge for us in government is to maximise the chances of that growth.”

The European Commission’s recent communication on Blue Growth notes that the Atlantic Strategy should assist governments to identify which priority investments could be funded through EU funding programmes and which knowledge gaps could be filled by EU-funded research. It also notes that private sector and European Investment Bank funding could also be brought in to boost the potential of the coastal economy.

The event brought together experts and operators from across Europe to look in particular at coastal tourism, fisheries and challenges facing coastal communities, building particularly on Welsh experiences.

WaterFurnace geothermal heat pumps are similar to traditional heat pumps but are more than twice as efficient. Instead of using the outside air, geothermal heat pumps tap into the constant thermal energy stored just below the earth’s surface. A series of underground pipes (an earth loop) circulates an environmentally friendly mixture of alcohol and water to transport that energy. The earth loop brings heat into the home from below ground during the winter and removes heat from the home during the summer, carrying it back into the ground. Using this free energy source can save homeowners as much as 70 percent on their heating and cooling bills. The system can also generate heat for hot water, all without using any on-site fossil fuels or emitting carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide or other greenhouse gases.
