our blue planet concerns us all. In order to set an example when it
comes to the preservation of nature, over 175 countries will be
celebrating Earth Day on the 22^nd of April. The
decisive factor here is that every one of us can make a small
contribution towards environmental protection. Gardena shows how

Around two thirds of the Earth is covered with water. However, only 0.3
percent of all water reserves are suitable for our use as drinking

Using every drop sensibly

In the kitchen garden, water consumption can be optimised even further
by using smart irrigation systems: According to information by the Water
Foundation, up to 60 percent of water trickles away unused due to
ineffective irrigation systems. By contrast, the environmentally
conscious gardener counts on water-saving irrigation with the Gardena
